Ravinder Nath Bhalla, MD is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. For thirty-four years he served as medical director of a nonprofit mental health organization in Passaic, New Jersey, providing care to three to four thousand people with serious mental illness — most of them at the bottom of every system the society had built.

He came to this country from India in 1982. He built a practice, a family, and a life inside the systems this series describes. For three and a half decades he watched intelligent, well-resourced people make decisions that produced suffering they could not see from where they were sitting.

The Abundance Series is what that watching produced.
